15 Apr 2027
@7.30pm

The Magpies are known for their exciting blend of sublime harmonies, exceptional musicianship and impressive songwriting. The band seamlessly traverses Anglo-American roots music, drawing inspiration from traditional Celtic folk, bluegrass and Appalachian traditions.

The band's founding members, Bella Gaffney (award-winning singer-songwriter, guitarist and banjoist) and Holly Brandon (acclaimed fiddle player and tunesmith), are joined by Kate Griffin (banjo, dobro) and Cathy Ife (bass guitar) as well as very special guests. Together, they create a fresh take on transatlantic folk while championing gender equality in the music industry, with a thread of feminism woven throughout their music.

Their live shows are known for their high energy and wry delivery, transporting audiences to distant lands with ethereal voices and glistening instrumentals. Their highly anticipated third album is set for release in April 2027, making this the perfect time to experience them live.
